Yorktown Center Gives Back to DuPage County as Host of Lombard Race for the Cure

Yorktown Center"As a member of the community, we are always looking for ways to honor and support the families of DuPage County who are struggling with cancer," noted Erin Falbo, Marketing Manager of Yorktown Center.

Since its inception 6 years ago, Yorktown Center has served as the host for the Lombard Race for the Cure. "Breast cancer has affected several of our team's family members and close friends, and has inspired us to further the mission of Komen Chicago," Erin commented.

Not only does the staff at Yorktown Center create their own team to participate in the Race, they also encourage their stores to form teams for the event. "We are honored to partner with Komen Chicago and look forward to future events that will positively impact the individuals in our community," Erin added. Visit yorktowncenter.com.

Xilin Association

Project Director June Yang highlights the importance of continuing breast health education for Xilin's clients. "We call all of our clients annually to remind them to get their mammograms, and stress the importance of breast health."

June and her staff organize workshops and attend health fairs throughout the year at local churches, food pantries and community centers, to teach breast cancer awareness. For more information, call 630-355-4322 or visit xilin.org.
