Register To Run with Team Komen at the Shamrock Shuffle on April 3rd!

Meet Komen Chicago's New Board Member, Terri Martyka

Terri Martyka recently joined Komen Chicago's Board of Directors, bringing her experience as both a Komen science advocate and breast cancer survivor.

In her new role on the Board, Terri hopes to serve the local community, as well as involve more survivors in Komen Chicago's work. "I have always wanted to do the best possible job representing the survivors in the community, and I am humbled by the invitation to join the Board," Terri noted. Continued»

Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force Strives to Address Disparities

With the help of Komen Chicago's grant, the Metropolitan Chicago Breast Cancer Task Force's Beyond October program is now the largest, non-government funded navigation program in the city. Over 20 hospitals donate screening mammograms and diagnostic services to serve under/uninsured women.
